Accies look to even the series, but lose two players in the process...
Faced with falling into an 0-2 hole, the Bristol Academicals rallied to even the series at one game apiece, but lost starting 3b Scott Rolen and SP Rich Harden for the series.
The Finger Lakes Flashes again struck first, scoring three in the top of the first on back-to-back doubles from Manny Ramirez and Wily Mo Pena.
The Accies came back with three of their own in the bottom of the inning and took the lead in the bottom of the third. After Harden left the game in the top of the inning, Rolen delievered an RBI single after Brian McCann was intentionally walked.
The Flashes battled back to tie in the top of the fourth on SP Carlos Zambrano's homerun, but the Accies again responded with 3 more to take an 8-5 lead.
Rolen was lost in the bottom of the 5th when he tried to score on a single from Albert Pujols. Ramirez's throw beat Rolen to the plate, and in the collision at the plate both Rolen and Flashes catcher Michael Barrett had to be helped from the field.
