A-Rod Wasn't Getting Extension From Pythons

- Espinosa and A-Rod had various run-ins throughout the season.
Miami-- What does it take to keep a superstar happy? Catering to them 24 hours a day? Offering them luxury suites on the beach to stay on road games while the rest of the team stays together at your local Hilton. Allowing them to miss any practices regardless of it's excuse. Well Espinosa wasn't ready to do this not for Alex Rodriguez, not for anyone.
"Our team policy calls for us to treat all of our players equally regardless of the success level. We recognize that there will be players of a higher caliber who will by thesmselves assume the position of leaders in the clubhouse."
So why did you overhaul this roster, why didn't you patiently wait for a miraculous turnaround? Perhaps keeps your best player in Rodriguez atleast for the fans sake.
"Do not pity our fans for a minute. I guarantee you that they will be happy with the product that will be placed on the field day in and out. We decided to go younger because while being the most talented all around team, we were also the oldest. We failed to be successful with a veteran loaded team and now we will take the other route which I'm comfortable with. It's not about the money, we're not scared to make splashes at any time. I feel that David Wright will be a great 3rd base without having to worry about the primadonna attitude. He's only 24 and already has been deeply embraced by our community down here." Speaking of embracing it seems like David Wright likes his new home so much that when contacted at a South Beach event he said "I'm looking to opening a new restaurant and a brand new children museaum. This is a great city with great weather, it's crazy how life works who would have thought you'd be talking to me today inside my brand new Boathouse.
The Pythons newest cast is already giving back to a community that has just embraced him of over a week. Too bad the same thing couldn't be said about Rodriguez and his millions. Espinosa seems determine to build a winner but a humble, noble one. As things are looking like rightnow the Pythons have the youngest and one of the most talented pitching staffs going into next year. From Chris Young and John Maine to Ian Snell, Tom Gorzelanny, Scott Kazmir, Andrew Miller, Matt Garza,Scott Baker,Carlos Villanueva and Matt Capps. It's obvious youth has been served. While I've been hearing mixed reviews from the fans, one thing is for sure the mood has never been so calm as it has been of late. Perhaps a result of an 8 game loosing streak? Or perhaps the fact that fans know there's a nearby future awaiting in Homestead. No longer is the pressure on this team to win every ballgame. "I'm dissapointed we didn't stay long enough in the race but I gotta admit this year's team underperformed. I mean A-rod led the league in errors and was hitting a pathetic .230. This was not our year but you better believe we'll be making noise next year!" said a Pythons fanatic.
