Fun Facts
Rodriguez got traded to the Homestead Pythons for Garret Atkins, Matt Cain, Joe Nathan and Chien-Ming Wang. Only Cain remains on the Soldiers roster and has said to be on the trading block! Pythons later traded Texeira for a package that included Barry Bonds, to later ship him to the South Side Soldiers.
7/5/07 Rodriguez was traded from the Homestead Pythons to the Finger Lakes Flashes in a 4 player deal in which the Pythons acquired All-Star 3B David Wright, Tom Gorzelanny, Franklin Gutierrez and a 9th round pick. Rodriguez was hitting .231 for the Pythons and apparently let South Beach get the best of him during the season.
