Player Notes

  • 2006: After being acquired along with Joe Nathan, Ryan settled in as option 1C in a bullpen that combined for a 2.73 ERA in 378 2/3 IP. For the year BJ was 6-3 with 5 saves and a 2.27 ERA in 75 1/3 innings, with 86 strikeouts.
  • 2005: BJ appeared in 67 games, posting a 12-4 mark, 5 saves and a 3.92 ERA. He struck out 117 batters in his 80 1/3 innings, allowing just 66 hits and 32 walks.
  • 2004: Ryan split his time between the Finger Lakes Flashes and the Florida Christians. He won 9 times against 14 losses, saved 27 games, and struck out 178 men in 146 innings. He also registered a 3.76 ERA and 1.45 WHIP.
  • 2003: A rough debut season for the Wu-Tang Venoms (3-6, 5.43 ERA) landed BJ with the Finger Lakes Flashes for the "B" season, where he went 1-2 with a 4.96 ERA in 30 appearances.
