Finding Information
From Lp2 Wiki
As the wiki gets bigger and more information is added and linked together, players will have more information about them within the wiki. If you'd like to know where within the wiki a player is mentioned, go to his player page. Once there, look to your left and you'll see a link to the side in the "toolbox" section that says, "What links here." Click it.
There, you will see within the wiki, where that player is linked. "Linked" meaning that the players name is properly bracketed [[]] on the pages where his name is mentioned, which is what links the player within the wiki.
- For example:
Matt Williams has a player page located at: http://www.lp2baseball.com/wiki/index.php/Matt_Williams
If you click there, it will bring up his player page. Look to the left and click on the "What links here" link and you'll be taken to: http://www.lp2baseball.com/wiki/index.php/Special:Whatlinkshere/Matt_Williams
There you will see that he was a participant in the 1999 A and B AS Game. Was a 1999 A and B Gold Glove winner. Was drafted in the original 1999 draft, then again in the 2001 Expansion draft and was traded in 1999!
Note: If you'd like to see where within the wiki a player is mentioned, but may not actually be "linked," search their last name in the search bar, instead of their whole name. If you search their whole name, it will take you directly to their player page. If you search their last name, it will take you to a list of pages where that name is mentioned.
- For example:
If you go to his player page at: http://www.lp2baseball.com/wiki/index.php/Hideki_Okajima
and click "what links here" you'll get limited results, because there are few pages he's linked on [[]]. But, if you go into the search bar and type in just "okajima," it shows a few more results, as you'll see a couple of important boxscores within the wiki where his name is mentioned!
When updating player pages, these options are a great way to find out more information about someone within the league!
