- 2nd overall draft pick in the 2005 Rookie Draft by the South Side Soldiers.
- Underwent successful Tommy John Surgery in late 2006, will miss all of 2007 for the Soldiers. Is expected to return to form and is being counted upon to lead the Soldiers rotation for years to come.
