HOF Season 1 World Series Game 2

Addie Joss HOF, of the Seattle Pilots, threw a gem to even the World Series at one game a piece. Joss threw a complete game shutout, using just 111 pitches to dominate the Birmingham Black Barons in game 2. "That's about as good as I've seen him throw," said Honus Wagner HOF who had 3 hits in the win, "that man sure can pitch." Ted Williams HOF, Sam Thompson HOF, George Kell HOF and Ernie Lombardi HOF each had 2 hits for the Pilots. "It's really nice to get a split in such a touch place to win," stated Williams, "we kept our head up and came out here to play. That's what good teams do after a loss." Bobby Wallace HOF was the lone bright spot for the Barons, as the duel player threw 2.2 innings of shutout ball, striking out 4. "I didn't throw well in the regular season," commented Wallace, "but every day is a new chance."

In attendance for the game, Joe Chapman and Joe Terry. Donny Byer arrived as the last out was recorded. Each manager was in control of their own substitutions.
