Player Notes

  • 2006: Javier was a solid #3 starter for the Ybor City Rollers, going 18-6 with a 4.02 ERA in 224 innings. He struck out 184, and gave the Rollers 20 quality starts in 33 tries.
  • 2004: Pitching mostly in long relief, Javier posted a 2-2 record with the first 3 saves of his Lp2 career. He pitched 39 1/3 innings, allowing 17 earned runs for a 3.89 ERA.
  • 2003: A trade to the Bristol Academicals saw Javier make 68 starts in two seasons, winning 26 times, while losing 16. He tossed 422 innings, struck out 425 and posted a 4.61 ERA.
  • 2002: Back with the Florida Christians, Vazquez managed to win 15 games with only 6 losses despite a 5.48 ERA, due to the 7.5 runs per game he received in support.
  • 2001: Javier helped the Broncos all the way to Game 7 of the Championship series during the 2001 A season, posting an 18-11 record, with a 3.82 ERA in 238 innings. He backed that up by going 13-13 during the B season.
  • 2000: Not getting the opportunity to start regularly hurt Vazquez as he posted a 8-7 record, but an awfull 6.25 ERA, earning him a trade to the Denver Broncos.
  • 1999: Seeing time as a spot starter and injury replacement, Javier posted a 6-3 record in 88 2/3 innings. He struck out 37 while walking 20.
