- 2006: Papelbon was given the closer role and proceeded to have one of the most dominant seasons in Ybor City Rollers history. He saved a franchise record 40 games (in 42 chances), went 2-0, and allowed just 34 hits and 5 runs (0.62 ERA) in 74 1/3 innings pitched. He also struck out 86 (10.4 per 9 IP), and allowed just 5 of 34 inherited runners to score (14.7%).
- 2005: Paps appeared in 2 games during his rookie year, totaling 2 1/3 innings pitched. He didn't surrender a run, allowed 4 hits, a walk and struck out 2.

Player Highlights
- Selected as a reserve for the World Team in the 2006 All Star Game.
- Earned first Lp2 save on April 5, 2007 by closing out a 3-2 Ybor City Rollers victory over the Brossard Batons with a scoreless ninth inning.
- Drafted in the 2nd round, 22nd overall, by the Ybor City Rollers in the 2005 Rookie Draft.
