  • Looking back, I cannot believe I took Millwood ahead of some of those guys. Heck, he was left unprotected in an expansion draft 2 years later.--Florida Christians 14:01, 12 October 2008 (EDT)
  • December 8, 2003: After days of negotiations, the Christians have pulled off another trade, this time a blockbuster, 8 player trade with division foe, the Denver Broncos. "We've had our eyes on reacquiring a couple of players," stated the team's GM, "we got Berkman back earlier last week and now we've reacquired Vaz. These guys will help better our squad, for hopefully many years to come." Rumor has it that the acquistion of Bret Boone did not sit well with Jose Vidro, the team's long time starter at second base. "The second base job is Jose's," said Cal Ripken, "he shouldn't lose any sleep over it. Consider it added incentive to keep playing well." Another player not happy with the trade was Kevin Millwood. "I'm pretty surprised," said Millwood, "I love it here in Florida. I really thought I was going to be here for a long time. I'm pretty dissapointed, but look forward to playing in Denver. Like they all say, it's a business." The trade of Armas and Bradley have some puzzled. "I figured those guys to be the staple of the future for the Christians," said someone close to the team, "but, I guess they'll be the staple for someone else." Javier Vazquez is expected to take Millwood's spot in the rotation, while Boone will see some action at second base. "I'm stoked," said Steve Reed, "I got traded for Mariano freakin' Rivera!"
