Lp2 Waiting List
From Lp2 Wiki
So, you think you know baseball? I guess that's a given, since you are interested in joining the ranks of the Lp2 Baseball League. Let me get this out of the way now: You have no idea of what you are getting yourself into.
The Lp2 is not for your average simulation manager. This is the pro's, the big time, the 'show' as it were. The Lp2 isn't your typical simulation league; not by a long shot and we don't expect or even want a typical owner, we need the best. Can that be you? Prove it to me.
For you to be considered a serious prospective owner for either an expansion team, or possibly taking over an existing franchise (good luck, doesn't happen often anymore) then I need to be convinced. I need a detailed plan of attack, or game-plan as to how you are going to take this team to the top and why you should get this franchise over all the other candidates.
Lp2 owners have a plan for their respective teams at all times, always searching for an edge, something to vault their team to the top of the Lp2 world. Let me tell you, it's not easy. As an expansion owner you are looking at all the rough times a normal MLB expansion team might haven gone through, except only worse; the Lp2 is filled with sharks, true baseball freaks. We all know we are, and we all embrace it.
If, for some reason, we need an existing team to change ownership, it may present a different set of challenges to overcome. You may be coming into a situation that isn't ideal; the team may not have been well run, or you may not like the base of the roster. But, it is something that happens in real life, and something that has occurred in the past in the Lp2.
The only thing 'typical' about an Lp2 owner is their level of commitment to not only the good of their team, but the overall state of the league. The Lp2 owner is in this for the long haul, through the ups of the playoff berths and the lows of the losing months, or seasons. "Sometimes, it's the tough moments that make the great moments that much sweeter," somebody once wrote, and it can apply to the Lp2 as well.
Some teams come and go, some stay mediocre, some even get to the top (Bristol Academicals were an expansion team once. Don't worry, you'll get to know their GM well, as well as all the other characters that comprise the Lp2). Just know in advance, the Lp2 is not for everybody, and there's nothing wrong with that. But if you are interested in joining our fun and competitive baseball family, I suggest you read the rules section. If you are still interested after reading and understanding the rules, please email me. But, only get in touch with me if you think you can handle the "The Pro's".
Remember, it's a field of dreams, so LET'S PLAY 2!
