Mussina was having a tough time as a Devil.

The trade deadline has passed without too much to talk about. A number of teams made smaller deals on deadline day. In the biggest move, the Sun City Devils surprisingly sent their ace, Mike Mussina, to the Finger Lakes Flashes for catcher A.J. Pierzynski and pitcher Chad Gaudin. "This was a great trade for the Flashes," said a league scout, "I expect Mussina will be able to focus a bit more on a team that has some direction and a real chance at competing.
