Sun City Devils
From Lp2 Wiki
Well it's never an easy time in the home of the Devils. Promising starts followed with multiple double digit losing streaks make the team fall witih a "bottom feeder team of the league" said by one Lp2 GM at the previous trading deadline.
This team has had too many munber 1 picks and has not seen anything come out of them. A cople of those picks, Jeff Francoeur, and Bobby Jenks aren't even Devils anymore.
Does this team have anidentity anymore does it have any core Stars to take them to the next level meaning competitive exciting baseball?
Let's look at some positives.
They now officially have an Ace that has eluded the teams Earlier. Tim Lincecum will be an Established Number 1 starter for the Devils for years to come. In limited action for the Devils this past season. He was second in Ssrikeouts on the squad to Wandy Rodriguez. Rodriguez had a fantastic season for the Devils with 180.1 IP and the team hopes for that to continue into the next season. Another positive lies in the idea that the Devils have a lineup laced with a balance of power speed and youth. Young bats like Akinori Iwamura, and Josh Anderson coming off the bench creating sparks and speed should help veterans like Vernon Wells, Xavier Nady, and and newer veterans like Melvin Mora, Adrian Beltre and Derrick Lee.
But that's all sweet. But what about the Devils bullpen? Who's the closer? Who are the number 4-5 starters? Do they have any depth on the bench. Will the positives into a 25 win improvement?
What kind of deals will the team make including those with expansion teams coming in to make the team competitive. Who will make the list of 20+Gehringer?
